The Northern European Association for Language Technology (NEALT) is a scientific, non-profit and non-political association focusing its activities especially on the north European countries (Denmark including the Faroe Islands and Greenland, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, and Northwest Russia) and on the languages spoken in that area.
NEALT has an executive committee with members serving in a role in two-year turns.
The purposes of the association are:
NEALT organizes the biannual Nordic Conference on Computational Linguistics (NoDaLiDa).
NEALT is also responsible for the Northern European Journal of Language Technology (NEJLT), the NEALT Proceedings Series, and the NEALT Monograph Series.
